Feeding Program
At Shade Tree Farm, we make it a priority to provide top of the line care and feed to ensure the success of your horse at our facility. Our goal is to ensure that your horse gets the nutrition it needs to perform and excel.
Shade Tree has access year-round to consistent quality hay. We always have 2nd Cutting Grass Mix, 1st Cutting Timothy, and Alfalfa in stock to ensure quality forage. Hay is always kept in front of the horses with 4 hay feedings a day (amount is based on each horse’s dietary needs). Nibble nets are available for horses in our all-weather turnouts.
We provide 3 grain feedings a day. Through our feed provider (Copley Feed and Supply) we have access to many of the main- stream brands of feed (Triple Crown, Purina, Tribute, etc.). We are prepared and willing to accommodate to meet the nutritional needs of all horses in our program.
FEED SCHEDULE
7 A.M. - Morning Feeding (Hay, Grain, Water)
12 - 2 P.M. - Lunch (Hay, Grain, Water)
*Varies depending on riding and turnout schedules of each horse.
6 P.M. - Evening Feeding (Hay, Grain, Water)
9 - 10 P.M. - Night Check (Hay, Water)
*Horses have access to hay and water throughout the day. Extra hay offered when no turnout is available or if in all-weather paddocks.
